About Relistr

Relistr is a Chrome extension that relists Facebook Marketplace listings in one click. It is built and maintained by boxiStock, and it is free to use.

Why it exists

We built Relistr for ourselves. We were selling on Facebook Marketplace, watching listings go quiet after a few days, and refreshing them the only way that reliably worked: delete the listing, then post the whole thing again from scratch. Every time, that meant re-typing the title, the description, the price, the category, the condition and the location, then re-uploading every photo. Doing it for one item is tedious. Doing it across a real inventory, every week, is the reason people give up and let their listings go stale.

The detail that kept catching us out was shipping. It is one of the last fields you set and the easiest to forget on the way back in, and a listing that quietly goes out with the wrong shipping configuration costs money on every sale that follows. That is why Relistr treats it as something to carry across exactly rather than something to re-enter.

So Relistr is the tool we wanted: the refresh is one click, the details come back the way they were, and nothing is deleted until a copy has been saved and verified.

Facebook does not publish how Marketplace ranks listings, and we make no claim to know. What we can say is what the tool does to the work, which is turn several minutes of re-entry per item into a click.

How it is built

Relistr runs entirely in your browser. By default your listings, photos, backlog, and settings are stored on your own computer rather than on our servers, and the extension works fully without an account. Optional Google sign-in syncs your backlog across your own devices, and nothing else about the product changes when you use it.

Relistr never asks for, sees, or stores your Facebook password. It works through the browser session you are already signed in to, and it runs only on Facebook, reading nothing outside Marketplace.

The approach to relisting is deliberately conservative. Rather than deleting and reposting in one motion, Relistr can save a listing to a backlog first and repost it later, separating the two actions in time. Listing content is saved and that save is verified before anything is deleted, and if Facebook rejects a recreation the run stops immediately rather than continuing through the rest of your selection.
